Bobby Macintyre of Studio 71 recently sent me a couple of pics which were just great. Simon Kirke of Bad Company stopped over to his studio several weeks ago, and Bobby was nice enough to have him sit down and give his 1.5 Steel–5.5 x 15 a whirl. As a long-time die hard Bad Company fan…Still today…These were unreal. I guess as well he is one incredibly nice guy also. Will look forward to the updates when he stops back soon.
Bobby also has a 1.5 Steel–6.5 x 15 at the studio, and uses both regularly. He is one of these guys I am always really anxious to see what he is up to. He is doing so much, is so eclectic, so involved, so skilled, & so intent on creating something real…It truly is remarkable. He is a long time touring and recording professional with credits that are too extensive to list right now. He is also one of the coolest drummers I have gotten to know this last year as well.
Thanks Again Bobby Macintyre…Your great…
“A true gentleman no doubt. He has always been one of my favorite drummers, and his Rock-N-Roll feel behind the kit is unmatched”
