A big Thank You going out to Bobby Blair of Nashville’s Top 10 charting Love & Theft. He recently dropped me a line to let me know he picked up a 1.5 Steel–6.5 x 15 at Fork’s in Nashville, and he started using it right away live with the band. I just cannot tell you how much I appreciate your correspondence, and your next order for the 8 x 15. That should be arriving today at Fork’s, and will very much look forward to hearing your feedback on the drum. Congrats Again on your upcoming anniversary date on 11/03/2015. Looking forward to staying in touch Bobby…
Doll Skin has been signed by Megadeth’s David Ellefson on EMP Records through the legendary Megaforce Records. An upcoming release is set for the end of October, along with tour dates to follow. Thanks Again to Randy Walker and John Aqulino’s, owner of The Platinum Undertground Studio, for their work on the record, Doll Skin’s debut was recorded with the Beier 1.5 Steel–5.5 x 15 that John has in the studio after Randy Walker introduced him to my line. Meghan Herring just received her 1.5 Steel–5.5 x 15 in Gloss White, and will be taking it for all live show dates for Doll Skin. Very much looking forward to this release, and clips from the live shows. Congrats Girls! (Update 10/26: Special Thanks to Randy Walker for sending one of the first pics from the shows below, and to Marco Llanos for taking it and allowing me to publish it)

Was great to hear from Trent Anderson (Bang Tango,Tuff) in Chicago that he was laying down tracks for an upcoming release with his 1.5 Steel Snare–6.5 x 14. He uses the 1.5 Steel–6.5 x 14 live, and also has used a 1.5 Steel–6.5 x 15 live extensively. One of his current projects, the Chicago based Sushi Roll Band is one of the top cover band draws in the area. They have been playing constantly all over the Midwest to as far as Las Vegas for an extended gig at Harrah’s. Will update this blog when the release is out. Link below with information on dates for Sushi Roll Band. Hope to see you soon…
Had made a note several months ago when David Northrup (Travis Tritt, Oak Ridge Boys) dropped me a line about a track he had just cut with this incredible Christian Artist-Becky Moore. He was raving about how great she is, and after listening to the track last week, I can see why. Great tune, and she has this unbelievably powerful, real & sincere voice. Very much appreciate you bringing out your 1.5 Steel–6.5 x 14 for this David. It sounded great. But with a player like you behind it…Of course it would. Looking forward to seeing you in December with the 1.5 Steel–4 x 15. Thank You Both!
I was thrilled to hear recently that Simon Wright (Operation Mindcrime, Hellion, Dio, Rhino Bucket, AC/DC, UFO) had used his Beier 1.5 Steel–6.5 x 14 on a track on the new release from Operation Mindcrime: “The Key”. That is quite an honor Simon. I have told you several times, but just wanted to issue a most sincere: Thank You Again. Likewise to the maestro behind the keyboards-Randy Gane (Operation Mindcrime, Candlebox, Queensryche) for always taking time out for Beier Drums.
This record is the first part of a trilogy from Operation Mindcrime. Geoff Tate has not only retained his skill and musical depth with this record, in some ways, to me, he has even surpassed it. Absolutely without a doubt he is one of the greatest frontmen, lyricist’s, and songwriters of all time in Rock. Add in the fact that his all-star line-up is arguably one of the best out there, and quite possibly one of the best line-ups ever. Talent wise, it reminds me of Ann Boleyn’s line-up in Hellion which I was able to see live in Chicago last Summer. Truly incredible.
Link below for details on how to buy a copy of “The Key”, and tour details. Very much looking forward to seeing Operation Mindcrime live soon you guy’s….
Drum virtuoso, engineer, producer, and performer Bobby MacIntyre (Studio 71) recently just received two Beier Snare Drums: The 1.5 Steel–5.5 x 15, and the 1.5 Steel–6.5 x 15. The drums have been a huge hit with him, and I could not be more delighted about that. Both drums are set to be used extensively on a wide variety of projects that will include tracks with Steve Gibb, and many, many others. Special Thanks as always to Todd Sucherman for the introduction. Link below to a wonderful improv at Studio 71 with the 1.5 Steel–6.5 x 15. Bobby has also used that drum live for the first time with Nil Lara at The Globe in Coral Gables, Florida. An extensive bio will be upcoming soon in this blog, but had to post this introduction now though. It is great news for Beier Drums…..And great to know you Bobby.
