The Beier 1.5 Steel in 8 x 15 is now available. This is the final edition to the line of 15″ snares, and it was finished this month. First run out at a live show in Chicago was a huge success-With everyone. The general consensus was that the drum was “Crushing”. Massive sound of course, but with equal amounts of tone. The drum is heavy on the mids, with a huge bottom end. I am going through the clips from the show right now, and will be posting Audio & Video. In full production as of this month, and available through dealers. Please do email or call with any questions….
I just had the amazing opportunity to get together with Brit Turner of Blackberry Smoke when they rolled through Milwaukee recently. I have always been a huge fan of Southern Rock, and these guys, without a doubt, are one of the finest out there. I dropped off Brit’s 1.5 Steel–6.5 x 14 to him to try in Sound Check, and he used it for the entire show. It is always a huge honor to see your drum being used by such a skilled player in such an unbelievable band. Going through the clips right now, and will be posting them in several weeks. Special Thanks to Monte Yoho of The Outlaws for the introduction, and Thank You Brit & Blackberry Smoke for the opportunity to come out.
Many Thanks Mark for sending the recent pics and update. The Bottle Rockets are currently in the studio working on their upcoming release. He has been using his Beier 1.5 Steel–6.5 x 14 in the studio, and has it on the road with him as well for live performance. This band was the leader of the 90’s Alt-Country/Roots Rock movement, and without a doubt still is. Mark has also played the Beier 1.5 Steel–5.5 x 14 live with Marshall Crenshaw and Tommy Tutone. Will be updating this story when the new record is out. Please see the links below for tour dates & video clips. Thank You Again Mark. Looking forward to seeing you guys soon~
