Andy Parker just sent me an advance copy of the new UFO record: “A Conspiracy Of Stars”. It is melodic, heavy, powerful, and incredible. Just the fact that it is a UFO record, petty much say’s it all. Thanks Andy for using your variety of Beier Snare Drums in the studio, and exclusively live for the countless shows and tours over the years~

Mark Beckett (Grand Ole Opry, Olivia Newton John) was recently down in Florida for a run of live shows with Olivia Newton John with his 1.5 Steel–5.5 x 14 & 4 x 15. He used both of the drums for live shows, and I was thrilled to hear all of the great feedback from him. Mark has the first 4 x 15 manufactured from here, and that drum is in Gloss White. As noted in the previous article, this drum, the idea, the specs….Were all of Mark’s idea. I just manufactured it. I am honestly overwhelmed at how huge of a sound this drum has. If you want a “Piccolo” that has an enormous Mid/Bottom range….This is a drum for you to consider. Numerous links below include clips from shows several weeks ago at the Winstar Casino as well with the 4 x 15. As always….Immensely appreciated here Mark….
Nashville legend, session player, and long time Reba McEntire drummer Tommy Harden just received his Beier 1.5 Steel–4 x 15 this last week, and absolutely loved it. He was looking to fill a void in mid-range tones he was missing in his selection of drums, and this drum filled it. The word “Piccolo” most always brings to mind a high pitched, high tension sound. This drum-The 1.5 Steel–4 x 15 is not that. The Mid/Bottom and dynamics on this drum are enormous. This was also the first one done in Black Texture Coating. The other color this drum is offered in is Gloss White. This entire drum was the idea of Mark Beckett-The color, the specs, the type of lugs, etc.., I was simply the person who manufactured it. So the credit goes to Mark, along with a huge Thank You from me. Tommy heard this drum at a show at the Winstar Casino when Mark was performing with Olivia Newton John. He loved the drum, and I could not be happier he now has one. Right out of the box he used it on a song for The Nashville Show. Like always, I will update this article as material comes out. Thanks Tommy…Looking forward to working with you. Check for tour dates to see him live, & see the YouTube links below for clips of the Olivia Newton John show where Tommy saw Mark with the 1.5 Steel–4 x 15…
Drew McKeon is out on the road again with Michael Bolton this month, and he will be bringing his new Beier 1.5 Steel–6.5 x 14 with him. This band has quite literally been to almost every corner of the globe in the last couple of years, and they are an amazing group of players. And Michael Bolton…is as great as he ever was. Drew has played a 1.5 Steel–5.5 x 14 extensively on tour with this band, which is something that will always be a major highlight here. See the link below for a clip of them at Royal Albert Hall in London, and Drew on his 1.5 Steel–5.5 x 14. Your a massive and diverse talent Drew….Hope you enjoy the 1.5 Steel–6.5 x 14. Jazz Maestro-Ron Otis, is heading out February 12th with KEM on the “Forever Charlie Tour” with Charlie Wilson, KEM, & Joe. This is an arena tour, and will no doubt be an incredible evening with this line-up. Ron is taking his 1.5 Steel–5.5 x 14 with him, and I was delighted to hear that. He also just received his 1.5 Steel–5.5 x 15, and am looking forward to feedback on it from him. Please see the link for KEM below for tour dates. As always….I really appreciate everything Ron.
