Many Thanks to Frank Vilardi of The Bacon Brothers for sending me this excellent pic. This is at sound check for The Bacon Brothers, and his kit with his live go-to snare-The 1.5 Steel–5.5 x 14. Frank is in the middle of an on-going and highly successful drumming career. He has recorded & toured with Suzanne Vega, Jewel, Donny Osmond, and a lengthy list of others. Truly looking forward to seeing The Bacon Brothers again very soon. They are an incredibly talented and diverse group, and a great bunch of guys as well. Thanks Frank…
Randy Walker of 22 Media Productions just received his Beier 1.5 Steel Snare–5.5 x 15 snare, and did a very nice clip of the drum. The clip illustrates the sound perfectly. The drum is wide open, and simply has a huge sound. Randy is a highly skilled professional and has performed with Pat Travers, Jani Lane, Big & Rich, Eric Martin, & Paul Rodgers at a 2008 Super Bowl Party. He also does video editing for Troy Luccketta of Tesla, Tesla the band, Todd Sucherman, George Lynch, and recently finished the audio book version of “My Life With Deth” by David Ellefson. Thank You Randy….
UFO is currently rehearsing in Europe for their new record due out in early 2015. Andy Parker, a long time supporter of Beier Drums, will be using a variety of sizes of the 1.5 Steel Series on this entire record. This will be the fourth studio album Andy has used Beier Drums. Thanks Andy as always…Looking forward to this…
Mike Collins (Throwback Suburbia, Earl Slick, Dilana) has been very busy lately, and was back in the studio with his Beier 1.5 Steel–5.5 x 14. Mike also sent a very nice clip he did that was a tribute to one of his drum heroes…Andy Parker of UFO. Thank You Mike..
The multi-talented Drew McKeon just got back from Europe on the on-going Michael Bolton World Tour. Drew took his Beier 1.5 Steel–5.5 x 14 with him, and that was hugely appreciated here. This band is utterly incredible…Every single one of them, and Michael Bolton sounds better than ever. Thank You Drew….
UFO is back in Europe and continuing their Seven Deadly World Tour. Andy is a long time supporter of Beier Snare Drums, and plays them exclusively live, and in the studio. Andy always travels with a number of Beier Drums. Currently on this leg he is travelling with the Beier 2mm Brass Snare–5 x 14, and the 1.5 Steel–5.5 x 14. Back in the US he will be using his go-to: The Beier 1.5 1.5 Steel Snare–6.5 x 14.
